Dr. Gary Allen Henecke was called to preach at the age of sixteen and has faithfully pursued this calling ever since. He was an exemplary student, with honors for academic achievements, and went on to serve as Adjunct Professor of New Testament at Western Evangelical Seminary and Adjunct Professor of Biblical Literature at Trevecca Nazarene University. Bro. Gary has served on many Boards for the Nazarene Church and as a Trustee for several colleges and seminaries. He has served several churches as pastor and has been involved in television and radio ministry and remains actively involved in his community. Bro. Gary and his wife, Jean, live in Nashville,Tennessee, where he is presently the pastor of First Church of the Nazarene, (membership around 1,700) where some of the outreach includes a Day Care Program, a Jail Ministry, and a Korean Church Fellowship.
Phil, Cheryl, and Jon Fuller
Phil was elected to serve as the eighth superintendent of the Virginia District on Wednesday, August 10, 2004. Prior to his election he served as Senior Pastor at the Annandale, Virginia, Calvary Church of the Nazarene. He also pastored Nazarene congregations in Oregon, Ohio and Payne, Ohio.
Phil's passion is people. His desire is that people from all backgrounds of culture and language come to know Jesus Christ as Leader, Director, and Savior, and to do so in a personal way. He is passionate about God's call on people to holy living as a way to enter into the broken places of life and bring restoration and hope.
Phil and Cheryl were married June 1, 1985 in Olathe, Kansas in Garrett Chapel on the campus of Olathe College Church of the Nazarene. They have a son, Jonathan. The Fullers reside in Midlothian, Virginia.
Phil is a graduate of Olivet Nazarene University with bachelors and masters degrees. He received a Master of Divinity degree from Nazarene Theological Seminary, and completed his doctoral degree at Asbury Theological Seminary.
